Recently a professor of mine had us write down 3 things we would do to make ourselves more culturally competent by the end of next semester. The first thing was something we'd do within the next week or so, the second thing was something we'd do within the month of January and the last thing we would do would be before next semester is over. In order to be held accountable, we had to sign the paper and switch with a classmate. In similar fashion, I am making a list of non-school related things I will do before 2013 is over. To hold myself accountable I am publishing it. As I think of more things, I will add to it.
1. Participate in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer
2. Take a road trip
3. Be more sociable
4. Stop spending money on clothes and shoes
5. Do something unexpected
